Community Dunk-a-thon (Sat. Jul 26, 2014 11:00 am - 3:00 pm)
Kroger Mt. Zion (route 36 east) will be hosting a dunk-a-thon for the WSOY food drive. on Saturday & Sunday, July 26th & 27th. There will also be a toy drive. The Dunk-a-thon will start at 11:00 am Saturday and run till the last person wanting to participate is dunked. Starts at 12:00 on Sunday till 6:00 pm. Please call or email for details.

Pancake Dinner Benefit (Sat. Jul 26, 2014 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm)

The VFW Post 513 2215 US RT 51 in Du Quoin IL, will host an All You Can Eat Pancake Dinner Benefit on Saturday, July 26th beginning at 4pm. Cost is $8 for adults and kids 4-12 $5 with children 3 and under free. All proceeds go to the benefit of the Leehy Family adoption. For details, please call.
Celebration of Life Benefit (Sat. Jul 26, 2014 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm)
Join the friends of Chelsea Schofield for a celebration of her life at a benefit event on Saturday, July 26th at 4pm at the First Christian Church, 1699 N. State St., Monticello, IL. New Legacy will entertain and there will be refreshments and opportunities to share memories. There will also be a silent auction and raffle. Suggest donation at door: $5. Join Abolition International for 31 Days of Freedom Fundraising Events Sunday and Monday, July 27th and 28th. Sunday July 27th at Buffalo Wild Wings in Aurora at Orchard Road. From 11am to close, tell your server you are there to support Abolition International and 10% of your bill will be donated to the 31 Days of Freedom Project. Fall Fashion Show (Sat. Aug 9, 2014 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm)
His Kid's Closet, 2901 Watterson Ct. in Champaign IL, will be hosting our first ever Fall Fashion Show at Grace Community Church on Saturday, August 9th at 2:30pm. We are looking for children age 0-18 interested in walking the runway, and for those under age 3, family members willing to walk with them. Contact us on Facebook to sign up. 4th Annual Show Off Auto Show (Sun. Aug 10, 2014 9:00 am - 4:00 pm)
The 4th Annual Show Off Auto Show will be happening Sunda, August 10th from 9am-4pm at the District 9 Hall, 12365 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, MO. Saturday, August 16th at 1pm, Kid Save invites those interested in adoption are welcome to come and meet Colombian children (ages 11 and 12) ready for adoption at a group event through the Summer Miracles program at Millenium Park and Splash Pad, 18600 Harwood Ave, Homewood, IL. Run from the Cops 5k (Sat. Sep 20, 2014 9:00 am - 11:00 am)
C.O.P.S. is sponsoring Run from the Cops 5K Run/walk on Saturday, September 20th at 9am at the Western Illinois Fairgrounds, 801 S. Wall in Griggsville IL. This run is to benefit COPS--families of fallen law enforcement officers. There is also a 1/2K Kids Run. The entry cost is $20 on or before September 5th. There is a $60 total fee for a family.
