Adoption Garage Sale Fundraiser (Fri. Sep 11, 2015 8:00 am - 2:00 pm)
There will be and Adoption Garage Sale Fundraise on Friday and Saturday, September 11th and 12th beginning at 8am each day at the Rademacher Lumberyard, 113 S. Main St in Gifford. All proceeds go to support the Blackford, Crozier, and Rademacher families for their international adoptions. Donations are currently being accepted. Please call for more information.

Cruise 11, a Car/bike show to Remember 911, will take place on Sunday, September 13th at 8am at Central Park in Decatur. The cost is an $11 entry fee for cars/bikes. All proceeds go the to American Legion Post 105 to purchase Christmas Gifts for Veterans in need in Central IL.
Pork Chop Dinner Benefit (Sun. Sep 13, 2015 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm)
There will be a Pork Chop Dinner and Benefit for Virginia Pokryke, Summit Learning Academy Director, to help with medical expenses incurred in her battle with cancer, on Sunday, September 13th at 4pm at Grace United Methodist Church, 1345 Chartres St in LaSalle. The Central Illinois Society of the Archaeological Institute of America will present The Lure of the Relic: Collecting the Holy Land with Morag Kersel on Thursday, September 17th at 5:30pm at the Spurlock Museum, 600 S. Make-A-Wish® Illinois will host the Walk & Run for Wishes on Saturday, September 19th at 9:30am at Hessel Park, 1401 Grandview Dr in Champaign. Individuals and teams can participate and raise funds to make wishes come true for local children with life-threatening medical conditions. The event includes a 5K fun run and 1 mile fun walk. General Registration is $30 for adult runners, $25 for adult walkers, $15 for students ages 18-22, $10 for children ages 18 and under, and free for wish families, “Virtual Walkers,” infants, and toddlers. Finders Market 4 times per year at Progress City, next to Richland Community College in Decatur. The next market is Friday and Saturday, Sept 25th and 26th. The Sunset Party is from 3-7pm on Friday, Sept 25th. This is an early bird shopping event with Live music, demonstrations, lots of giveaways and more. 13th Annual Mark Linder Walk for the MInd (Sat. Sep 26, 2015 7:30 am - 9:30 am)
The 13th Annual 2015 Mark Linder Walk for the Mind will be held Saturday, September 26th along the Peoria riverfront at the RiverPlex. Mark Linder Walk for the Mind is a one mile walk to raise awareness of brain tumors and their impact on patients, family members and friends, and to raise funds for brain tumor research. Eric “Hoovey” Elliott is our Honorary Chairman for the Walk. Registration is online. Registration starts at 7:30am and the Walk begins at 9:30am. Brain Tumor Survivors are free.
