Finders Market will take place Friday & Saturday, May 29th & 30th from 3-7pm on Friday and 9am-3pm on Saturday at Progress City, next to Richland community college, 1 College Park in Decatur. Allerton Park and Retreat Center in Monticello will host the Annual Garden Party on Friday, May 29th at 5:30pm. There will be a dinner and silent auction as well as live music. This event is a fundraiser, and all money raised will be used to support the continued maintenance of the gardens. Tickets are $100 each and must be purchased before May 21 online or by calling.

Playing It Safe Safety Fair (Sat. May 30, 2015 9:30 am - 2:00 pm)

The Playing It Safe Safety Fair on Saturday, May 30th from 9:30am-2pm at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana. This will be a day of safety education for children and parents, with games, entertainment, child identification kits, prizes, inflatables and food. Von Heidecke's Chicago Festival Ballet will present Cinderella on Saturday, May 30th at 2pm at Joliet Junior College Fine Arts Theater, 1215 Houbolt Road, Building K in Joliet. Ticket cost is $13-$28 and can be obtained online.

Karaoke for the Cure (Sat. May 30, 2015 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

Team "For You" of the American Cancer Society of DeKalb County will host Karaoke for a Cure on Saturday, May 30th beginning at 5pm at Pub West, 100 E. Adams St in Waterman. All proceeds from this and a raffle will go towards the American Cancer Society. Please call for more details.

4Real Moms is having a garage sale to benefit Courage Connection on Friday and Saturday, June 5th & 6th at Prairie Fields Park in the Prairie Fields Subdivision in Savoy. The focus of the sale is baby and kids needs and will be held Friday from 4-8pm or Saturday from 8am-12pm and 100% of the proceeds will go to Courage Connection. The Land Connection will host a Farm Dreams workshop on June 8th from 5-9pm at the Good Samaritan Inn, 920 N. Union St in Decatur. In addition to the farm tour, farmer panel, and activities, Farm Dreams participants will receive a Farm Dreams handbook and a light dinner. The price to attend the workshop is $20 and pre-registration is required. Workshops are also being held in Cornell, Illinois, and North Salem, Indiana. Champaign County's Relay for Life will take place on Saturday, June 13th beginning at Noon at Centennial High School, 913 Crescent Dr in Champaign. The event starts with a parade at Noon Andrae's Harley Davidson in Urbana. A survivor ceremony will be held at 6pm and there will be many other events. The Relay continues until Sunday at 6am. The University of Illinois Extension Macon County Master Gardeners will host the 2015 Garden Walk from 2pm-6pm on Saturday, June 14th, rain or shine in Decatur. There will be six gardens on a self-guided tour. Light refreshments will be provided. Tickets are available for $10 in advance and can be obtained by calling or going online. Tickets are $12 the day of the event.
