2nd Annual Pancakes for PBD-ZSD (Sat. May 18, 2013 7:00 am - 11:00 am)
Jeff and Pamela Marshall's 2 year old son, Ethan, was diagnosd with PBD-ZSD when he was 4 weeks old. PBD-ZSD is a rare, genetic, metabolic, terminal conditions affecting all major systems of the body. This all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast will raise money to benefit families of children with PBD-ZSD Saturday, May 18th 7:00-11:00am @ First Baptist Church, 720 W. Main St., Mt. Zion, IL. The cost is $5 a person or $20 for a family ticket (children 5 years old and under eat FREE)

7th Annual Fraud and Scam Awareness Program/ Expo (Tue. May 21, 2013 10:00 am - 3:00 pm)
This is the 7th year we have offered this program to provide educational empowerment to ensure the safety of the seniors from would be scammers. The FREE 7th (annual) “themed” educational program “Scam-a-Lot” will take place at Vigo County Fairgrounds, 3901 US Hwy 41 S., -Terre Haute, IN -May 21st, 2013 from 10a-3pm. There will be a complimentary Medieval meal (courtesy of Sycamore Manor for first 1200 attendees) The Attorney General office will educate about latest scams and frauds targeting seniors. A Bank Security officer/former police detective will teach about identity theft and offer tips to protect the seniors and resources to utilize and more. There is NO charge to attend and reservations are NOT necessary.

Citizens for Modern Transit's Great Race II (Thu. May 23, 2013 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm)
On May 23rd, Team TRANSIT, Team BIKE, Team CARSHARE and Team CARPOOL will go head-to-head to see which alternative transportation mode can travel from downtown STL to Clayton the fastest. Rally behind a team and get in on the action!. The public is invited to rallying behind their favorite team through social media and by making plans to take part in fun-filled community event on May 23rd. The race will start at 4:30 p.m. at Post Office Plaza located at 815 Locust Street in Downtown St. Louis, Mo., and the finish line will be at the Fortel's Pizza Den located at 7359 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, MO.
