The Tri Kappa of Clay County will take place Friday-Sunday, October 7th-9th at the Forest Park in Brazil IN. There will be live music, vendors, a 5K race and many more activities all weekend long. For more details please go online. 

Sister Act The Musical presented (Fri. Oct 14, 2016 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

Sister Act The Musical will be presented Friday-Sunday, October 14th-16th at Waubonsee Community College, College Dr in Sugar Grove. The Fox Country Players will present this musical. The cost is $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. For tickets call or go online. Details by phone. 

Take a Bite Out of Hunger (Sat. Oct 15, 2016 9:00 am - 10:00 am)

Sheburn Ebenezer United Methodist Church is partnering with North Central Jr Beta Club and Pack Away Hunger on Saturday, October 15th beginning at 9am at North Central High School, 910 E. Co. Rd. 975 N in Farmersburg. This a packing event and there will be 2 shifts beginning at 9am and 1pm. The meals will then be distributed to local food pantries and to Mission Guatemala. Walk For Freedom (Sat. Oct 15, 2016 10:00 am - 1:00 pm)

A-21's 3rd Annual Walk For Freedom will take place on Saturday, October 15th 10am at Keys Park in DuQuion. All proceeds will go to fight human slavery around the world. Please go online to register or for details.

Trinity Christian School, 1218 W. Freeman St in Carbondale, will host the Falcon Fall Fest on Friday, October 21st at 5pm. There will be hayrides, inflatables, food and more. The entrance fee is $10. Food will be available for purchase. For more details please call or go online. 

Hope for Joey's Heart (Sat. Oct 29, 2016 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm)

Hope for Joey's Heart is a benefit dinner and silent auction to be held on Saturday, October 29th from 4:30-7:30pm at Village Bible Church, Rt 47 and Bliss Rd in Sugar Grove. Proceeds will go to assist the Jaeger family.  Please consider donating an item for the silent auction.  Volunteers are also needed to help sell advanced tickets, make desserts, and work the event. Stand Up For Vets (Sat. Nov 5, 2016 10:00 am - 1:00 pm)

Stand Up for Vets will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 10am at 17th St Barbeque, 17th & Pine St in Murphysboro. Local businesses and organizations will be offering goods and services totally free of charge to our local veterans.
