3rd Annual 5K Paint. Run. Fun. (Sun. Apr 19, 2015 10:00 am - 12:00 pm)

Sigma Alpha Epsilon and the Terre Haute Human Society will host the 3rd Annual 5k Paint. Run. Fun. on Sunday, April 19th at 10am at Rec East, Indiana State University, 559-563 N. 9th St in Terre Haute. The cost is $15 before March 1st, $20 before April 1st and $25 after that. St. Louis Kidney Walk (Sat. Apr 25, 2015 8:00 am - 12:00 pm)

The National Kidney Foundation will host The St. Louis Kidney Walk at Saint Louis University, 3338 Olive St in St. Louis on Saturday, April 25th beginning at 8am. Complimentary parking is available in the Olive Parking Garage. The event location is just south of the garage. There are more details on the website.

Run, White & Blue 5K and 1 Mile Kids' Run (Sat. Apr 25, 2015 8:00 am - 10:00 am)

Trinity Christian School, 901 Shorewood Dr in Shorewood, will host the 3rd Annual Run, White & Blue 5K and 1 Mile Kids' Run on April 25th, stepping off at 8am. Participants can register online. Please call or email for details.

The Literacy Connection's McHenry County will host the Human Race 5k on Sunday, April 26th at 8am at McHenry County College, 8800 Route 14 in Crystal Lake. The Literacy Connection provides Basic Literacy and English as a Second Language (ESL) adult tutoring and family literacy programs. Union Avenue Christian Church, 422 E. Union Ave in Litchfield, will host The Heart of a Woman with Kathie Johnson and Judy Eyman. Run from the Devil 5K Glow Run (Fri. May 1, 2015 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm)

The Run from the Devil 5K Glow Run will take place Friday, May 1st at 8:30pm at Miner's Memorial Park, 200 S. Park St in Sesser. Registration begins at 7:30pm. All proceeds go towards a youth missions trip to Guatemala. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the race. The cost is $20/person, $40 max. per immediate family. The deadline April 17th. After April 17 fees are $25 and $50. Please call for details or go online to register.

Hustle to Havana 5K and Fun Run (Sat. May 2, 2015 7:00 am - 10:00 am)

The First Presbyterian Church of Champaign will host the Hustle to Havana 5K and Family Fun Run on Saturday, May 2nd at the Porter Family Park, South Rising Road in Champaign. The Fun Run will take place at 7:30am, 5K at 8:30am and 10am for the 1 mile dog walk. Proceeds go towards sending a group of students to Luyano Cuba to provide aid to their sister church in Cuba. Parking will be available on site.

The Alzheimer's Association Greater Illinois Chapter will host the Coffee Connection Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, May 2nd at 8am. The CU Aruna Run will take place Saturday, May 2nd at 10am at the University of Illinois Arboretum, 2001 S. Lincoln Ave in Urbana. The Aruna Project is a national company that helps rescue women from slavery in South Asia by hosting races in the US.

The Macon County Health Department will be offering an evidence-based Diabetes Self-Management Program at the SIU School of Medicine Family Physicians Office, 250 W. Kenwood Ave in Decatur, beginning Tuesday, May 5th at 3pm. Classes are two and a half hours once a week for six weeks and are free and open to all those affected by diabetes, including family members and caregivers. 3rd Annual Community 5K and Family Fun Day (Sat. May 9, 2015 7:30 am - 10:30 am)

Join the Hope Center for the 3rd Annual Community Hope Center 5K and Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 9th beginning at 7:30am. The race kicks off at Bethalto Village Hall, 213 N. Prairie St in Bethalto. All proceeds will benefit the Community Hope Center, a local non-profit, faith-based Food Pantry in Cottage Hills, IL. To register go online. The 24th Annual Not Your Average Joe 5K/5Mile Race will take place on Saturday, May 9th at 9am at Crystal Lake Park in Urbana. This event celebrates the life of Joe Seeley, who died of leukemia in 2012. All race proceeds will benefit Crisis Nursery Programs and Services, the Transitional Initiatives and Men's Emergency Services Center and The Courage Connection.The per person online preregistration (before April 15th) is $21 adults/$13 youth-18 or younger and registration after April 14th is $23 adults/$15 youth. 5th Annual Elim Eagles’ Wings 5K Run/Walk/Roll will take place on Saturday, May 9th at 9am on the Elim Campus, 13020 S Central Ave in Palos Heights.
