Community Shoe Drive (Mon. Jan 26, 2015 7:00 am - 8:00 am)

Salem Lutheran Church, 22E. Beecher St in Jacksonville, is sponsoring a Community Shoe Drive in January and February for the Shoeman Water Project. Money from the sale of the shoes is used to purchase well drilling rigs, water filtration systems, and other supplies to bring clean, fresh water to those who thirst. New or gently worn shoes can be dropped off at the church or in Jacksonville at:  Bob Freesen YMCA,  Boyd Music,  College Avenue Dental, Faith Lutheran Church, Fitness World, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Our Savior's Catholic School, Fast Stop, Trinity Lutheran School-Arenzville,  Waverly Public Library, and Virginia City Hall. Sisterhood Bible Study (Mon. Jan 26, 2015 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm)

Precept Bible Study (Wed. Jan 28, 2015 9:00 am - 11:00 am)

Join The Windsor Road Christian Church, 2501 W. Windsor Rd in Champaign will host a Precept Upon Precept study on the topic of Spiritual Gifts Wednesday morning at 9am and evening at 6:30pm. Childcare is available for the morning class only. Please sign up and notify us that you will need childcare. The church offers various events for children in the evening class. Sign up necessary to ensure there are enough materials for everyone. The cost is $27 and information can be obtained by calling or on line.

Moms Connected with Dr. Kathy Koch (Thu. Jan 29, 2015 9:15 am - 11:15 am)

Moms of teens and tweens are invited Thursday January 29th from 9:15-11:15 at First Baptist Church Geneva-West Campus, 3435 Keslinger Road in Geneva, as Dr. Kathy Koch will be presenting “The ‘Tech-Savy Generation: Understanding How Technology is Influencing Future Generations.” Childcare is also available. Matt Vollmar & The Great Romance Fundraiser concert (Fri. Jan 30, 2015 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm)

Matt Vollmar & the Great Romance will be in cocnert with Nick Bifano & The Innocents and Chris Habermehl on Friday, January 30th at 7pm at the East High School, 2555 W. Boulevard on Bellville. This is a fundraising concert for medical expenses for Little Janet who has been battling a malignant brain tumor for almost 2 years. Tickets will be available at the door for $10. Refresh Women's Conference with Pam Peoples (Fri. Jan 30, 2015 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm)

Pam Peoples and Brenda Nevitt will be the main speakers at the Refresh Women's Conference, Friday and Saturday, January 30th and 31st at GT Church, 500 S. 27th Street in Decatur. This years Winter Jam 2015 features Skillet, Jeremy Camp, Fransesca Battistelli, Building 429, Family Force 5, Newsong, For King and Country, Blanca, About a Mile and Veridia, with speaker Tony Nolan.
