Moms in Prayer of Minooka and Channahon, will be meeting every Friday school is in session from 9:30-10:30am at The Village Christian Church,108D Industrial Ave Minooka. Citizen Way in concert (Fri. Sep 4, 2015 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

Citizen Way will be in concert as the featured evening band at Yorkville's Home Town Days on Friday, September 4th at 7pm. There is no admission fee to the concert or to the Home Town Days Festival. Celebrate Calm Workshop (Sat. Sep 5, 2015 9:30 am - 11:30 am)

The First Presbyterian Church, 302 W. Church St in Champaign, will host the Celebrate Calm Workshop on Saturday, September 5th from 9:30-11:30am. The View Church, 1201 S. Giant City Rd in Carbondale, will host a Parents Day Out Program beginning Monday, August 31st. The program will serve children ages 3 and 4 up to five hours per day, two days per week. The program cost is only $4 hourly. Register either by email or by calling. 

Rally to Improve Birth (Mon. Sep 7, 2015 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm)

ImprovingBirth.org will host a Rally to Improve Birth on Monday, September 7th at Noon at Fairbanks Park, Blumber Shelter in Terre Haute. This is a family-friendly event to increase awareness about the issues surrounding maternity care in Terre Haute and beyond. Please go online for more details.

Trailnet Ride Series (Mon. Sep 7, 2015 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm)

Every Monday during the month of September Trailnet offers guided bike rides on the Great Rivers Greenway's River Ring Network beginning Monday, September 7th at 6pm. Attendees can participate in a ride in South St. Louis County along Grant’s Trail, which lies within the Gravois Greenway. The ride will run from the entrance at Kirkwood Trailhead to the U.S. Grant Historic Site and back for a total ride of 5.8 miles. Registration begins at 5:30 at the Kirkwood Trailhead at Holmes and Leffingwell. Ride departs at 6 pm. There will be a brief “fix-a-flat” lesson offered between 5:30 and 6 p.m. For details, please call.

Main St in Gifford.  All proceeds go to support the Blackford, Crozier, and Rademacher families for their international adoptions.  Donations are currently being accepted. Cruise 11, a Car/bike show to Remember 911, will take place on Sunday, September 13th at 8am at Central Park in Decatur. The cost is an $11 entry fee for cars/bikes. All proceeds go the to American Legion Post 105 to purchase Christmas Gifts for Veterans in need in Central IL.

Make-A-Wish® Illinois will host the Walk & Run for Wishes on Saturday, September 19th at 9:30am at Hessel Park, 1401 Grandview Dr in Champaign. Individuals and teams can participate and raise funds to make wishes come true for local children with life-threatening medical conditions. The event includes a 5K fun run and 1 mile fun walk. Steak Fry Fundraising Dinner (Sat. Sep 26, 2015 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm)
