Women of the Word Bible Study (Thu. Oct 2, 2014 9:00 am - 11:30 am)

Women of the Word's new Bible Study will be Walking with God in Faith, Hope, and Love by Ray Vander Laan. Open house registration will also be held on Thursday, August  28th  from 9-11am and 6-7pm, followed by the Kick Off from 7-9pm at at Waterman Presbyterian Church, 250 North Cedar Street in Waterman. WOW begins on Thursday, September 18th from 9-11:30am, and includes a children's program for nursery and preschool children. The evening WOW is held from 6:45-9pm. The First Baptist Church, 1602 Prospect at Burwash in Savoy, Youth Mission Team will host a Garage Sale Fundraiser Thursday, October 2 - Saturday, October 4. Proceeds from the sale will go towards their mission trip to the Dominican Republic in the Summer of 2015. Hours for the sale are Thursday 6-9p, Friday 8a-9p and Saturday 8a-12p. Wooly Worm Color 5K (Sat. Oct 4, 2014 7:30 am - 9:30 am)

The Wooly Worm Color 5K will take place on Saturday, October 4th and step off at 7:30am across the street from the Methodist Church in Camargo. This year’s race includes a color run and runners/walkers may choose whether or not to participate in the color aspect of the race. Proceeds benefit Playtime Cooperative Nursery School and Villa Grove Summer Rec. Register by September 26th to guarantee a long-sleeve t-shirt. 2nd Annual Wounded Warrior Pancake Breakfast (Sat. Oct 4, 2014 8:00 am - 12:00 pm)

On Saturday, October 4th, the 2nd Annual Wounded Warrior Pancake and Sausage Breakfast will take place from 8am-Noon at the Marine Corps League located at 16th & Lafayette in Terre Haute. All proceeds go directly to Wounded Warrior Project for the benefit of our wounded service members and their families. 2nd Annual Urbana Sundae 5K Race/Walk (Sun. Oct 5, 2014 8:00 am - 10:00 am)

The 2nd Annual Urbana Sundae 5K Race/Walk will be happening on Sunday, October 5th at 8am at the Urbana High School Complex and the start line will be at Washington and Broadway in Urbana. Check-in will endat 7:45 and the race will promptly begin at 8am. You must be 10 years of age and younger to participate in the Junior 1K and all participants will receive a ribbon. The proceeds from this event will go directly to the UHS athletic department.
