10 Days of Prayer

As it gets closer to WBGL's Fundraiser, we want to make sure we seek God for his guidance for this ministry of music and community!

Join us in a journey of prayer! Weez, Assistant Music Director and Promotions Team Member has given you verses and written short reflections for you to join us in. We hope they bless you! And if you need prayer we have a team of people to pray for you! You can share your request here.

October 23/ Day 10/ Philippians 1:6

“Being confident of this that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”

What an amazing promise! A reminder to us that He is not finished with us. May these words empower you to know...you are a work in progress. He is doing a good work in you and HE will carry in onto completion. Thank you Lord that we are a work in progress! Have courage today to know you are not the sum of your failures; you are a work in progress. He is constantly molding us to be more like Him; when we are willing! Let us be reminders to those around us that are in need of that encouragement today!

October 22/ Day 9/ Galatians 6:9

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”

If there be any encouragement today it is this; do not give up. Do not quit. Keep pressing into Him to do good. Even when it can get tiring. Draining. Keep doing good. Let’s encourage each other to press in...lean in..to do more good. It is so needed right now. Do not give up. Lord Help us to not grow weary in doing good. Help us to do more. Help us to rely on  you and not give up.

October 21/ Day 8/ 2 Corinthians 1: 3 & 4

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

How thankful we are for God’s comfort! Troubles will come; of that we can be sure of; but let us also remember that HE comforts us in our troubles. What a mighty God we serve...He is full of compassion and full of comfort. Has there been a time of trouble or hardship you went through and you felt His comfort? He wants to use that time in your life so you can help share that same comfort with others going through a troubled time. Today let’s pray and ask the Lord who is in need of comfort today that could use a call from you? Lord we thank you for your great compassion; for your great comfort. We thank you for the comfort we have received in our past troubles; Lord help us to share that comfort we have received from you with others that are in need of that same comfort. Thank you Jesus!

October 20/ Day 7/ Romans 8:37-39

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The truth is written right here...NOTHING can separate us from the Lord of God. No matter what we are facing. No matter what is going on...Nothing can separate us from His love. Not only that...but we are MORE than conquerors. Just knowing that and being reminded of that is empowering. He has love for us! Today Let’s pray...Lord thank you for the awesome reminder that we are more than conquerors. Thank you Lord that nothing can separate us from your love. Help us Lord to stay in that truth when we soon forget as lives demands consume our thoughts. Let us share with others today as we are more than conquerors. Let us remind others there is nothing that can separate us from your love. Thank you Lord!

October 19/ Day 6/ 2 Thessalonians 3:16

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”

When times get rough; there is peace. When so much is happening around us that is overwhelming...the only place for true peace is from The Lord. We need His peace at all times. Praise God He offers that to us at all times!

October 18/ Day 5/ Romans 1:11-12

“I long to see you so I may impart some spiritual gift to make you strong that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith”

How would you feel if you received those words from a friend today? Is there someone in your life that you are pouring into? If not; can you find someone to pour into? What an amazing opportunity to elevate someone else today! To pray for them and do what you can to help give them encouragement to make them strong! Honestly; we need each other. God created us that way. We need to hear each other’s stories of faith to be encouraged. Today let’s pray that someone can be encouraged by your faith and you also would be encouraged. Pray also that others are encouraged by hearing the stories of faith they hear on WBGL. Lord would you use those words; those song lyrics to bring encouragement today.

 October 17/ Day 4/ 1 John 5:14

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that is we ask anything according to his will, he hears us”

It’s such a comforting great reminder that the Lord hears us! When we are aligned with His will…and we ask…we can have confidence He is bending His ear towards us. Listening. Hearing our very requests. Today - praying that you would be reminded that He hears us; praying for those that need to be reminded as well.

October 16th/ Day 3/ 1 Chronicles 16:11

“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always”

This is such a good reminded that we need to look to the Lord for His strength. Sometimes we do not have any strength; we are weak. And sometimes our focus is on anything and everything but where it should be. Today; let’s encourage each other to Look to the Lord and Seek His face. Thank you Lord that you give us strength! Help us to seek your face…always.

October 15th/ Day 2/ Mark 4:24

“Then he added, "Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given--and you will receive even more.”

Something about that verse; pay close attention. I love that we hear the words…” The Closer you list…the more understanding you will be given”. Are we paying attention? When I read these words; the feeling of encouragement comes over me. I want to pay more attention to what the Lord is trying to show me…hear more of what He is trying to say to me knowing understanding will be given! Today Lord; helps us to pay close attention to what you are speaking; give us understanding.

October 14th/ Day 1/ Ephesians 1:17:19

“ I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength”

Welcome to the first day of 10 days of prayer! A time we like to prepare our hearts for our fund drive coming up and put our focus on the Lord. What better way to start than with a prayer straight from Paul! Let this be our prayer today! That we may have “the Spirit of wisdom and revelation; and the eyes of our heart may be enlightened”.  What great words to send to someone you know that is going through a hard time! Praise you Lord for your Word!
