10 Days of Prayer

for Spring Fundraiser 2021

WBGL is a listener supported radio ministry, and we exist because of your generous financial support. Our Spring Fundraiser starts Tuesday, March 23rd, and we want to prepare for this time by praying and seeking God's help.

You are invited to join us during these 10 Days of Prayer at WBGL. Thank you for taking the time to pray with us before the Spring Fundraiser begins.

DAY ONE, March 13th

"But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 (ESV)

I love what Pastor John Piper says about this verse. He says that sometimes we need to just look Jesus straight in the eye and hear him say, "with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." What situation in your life seems impossible? Jesus began our faith and He is the one who will finish it (Hebrews 12:2). If you feel faithless, at the end of yourself, look Jesus straight in the eye and hear Him say those words to you. Instead of giving up, let Him strengthen you with His Word and all of His possibilities for your situation.

At WBGL we always want to encourage you with God's Word. Would you pray for the staff at WBGL for strength and provision as we walk by faith into our Spring Fundraiser?

DAY TWO, March 14th

“I trust you to save me, LORD God, and I won't be afraid. My power and my strength come from you, and you have saved me.” Isaiah 12:2 (CEV)

Those words were sorely tested in my life when my daughter’s back was broken in two places because of a 22 foot fall. So many fearful thoughts invaded my heart and mind. As we waited 30+ hours for her surgery in a developing country, my fear was growing, threatening to overwhelm and cripple me. BUT GOD. He had mercy on me as people prayed for me and He called me to pray. Just say I won’t overcome. Just say I won’t live in hope. Just say I won’t see God work miracles. Say I won’t and I will show you what God can do through someone who trusts Him.

Lord, today we need you. Fear is all around us. It wants to overcome us and make us ineffective and impotent. We are not! We know a God, OUR GOD, who is mighty to save. We can trust you Lord because you are faithful and true. You will strengthen us with your power. You will save us by your love and grace. You will banish fear and take away its power. Pour out on us your peace, protection and purpose! Thank you, in Jesus name, Amen.

DAY THREE, March 15th

"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." Romans 8:18 (NIV)

Father, it brings me peace in knowing any present or even past suffering will not compare to the unrelenting glory that will be revealed to me when I am with you in eternity.

~Denise, WBGL Business Sponsor Manager

DAY FOUR, March 16th

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

SAY I WON'T....TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL MY HEART....especially in these trying times we have been going through! HE is the only one we can truly lean upon to see us through!!!

I encourage you to pray today that God would give you that ability to trust and rely completely on Him.
~Zoe, WBGL Business Sponsor Manager

DAY FIVE, March 17th

"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Those are the words my doctor “prescribed” to me one night when I was in the hospital crying. I had been sick with pneumonia for weeks and I was struggling to breathe. I was a mystery to the medical team as they could not figure out why my illness was lingering. My doctor, Mary, told me on the phone “His power is made perfect in weakness." After a year or so of physical issues and struggle the medical team had a diagnosis. I was told I would probably end up in a wheelchair

With all the conditions I had; I was told standing for me was not safe. I held onto this verse. His power was being made perfect in my weakness. HIS grace was and is sufficient to me. Today I am walking in healing! Today I am walking in the knowledge that His Grace is Sufficient and yes…HIS power is made perfect in weakness! Say I won't walk in healing!

Lord thank YOU that Your Power is made perfect in weakness and that Your grace is enough NO matter what we are walking through.

DAY SIX, March 18th

"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6 (ESV)

I'm so thankful that God isn't done with me yet and will complete the work He started in me. Let's thank Him today for this truth and this promise.
~Sarah, WBGL Community Engagement Manager & Saturday Evening Host

DAY SEVEN, March 19th

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)

This year, standing firm takes on a whole new meaning. We find it necessary to lock into our purpose because times are beyond challenging. Hope is distant. Separation is the new norm. We must Stand Firm on His promises like never before.

Lord, as we are surrounded by so much uncertainty, teach us to hold onto your promises in your Word.
~Jeff Scott, WBGL Station Manager

DAY EIGHT, March 20th

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 (NIV)

This is a prayer I often pray for myself and listeners as well. These words give encouragement to press on and flourish through the hope, joy, and peace which comes from the power of the Holy Spirit.

This is our prayer for you today.
~Eric, WBGL Afternoons Eric & Danielle

DAY NINE, March 21st

"You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible." Matthew 17:20 (NLT)

Is there a mountain in your way? IS there a trial or a situation that seems impossible to you today? SAY YOU WON'T see this mountain moved! In Jesus we can speak to those mountains and see it move for with Jesus NOTHING is impossible!

Lord, let us bring you our tiniest bits of faith and see the amazing work you can do in us and through us.
~Weez, WBGL Evening Host

DAY TEN: March 22nd

"The Lord says, 'I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.'” Psalm 91:14-16 (NLT)

In the fall of 2018, when out of the clear blue I landed in the hospital for a week in sepsis with what doctors first thought was end-stage lung cancer and later realized wasn't cancer at all, but an extraordinarily rare and deadly infection. I came to a place of trusting in the Lord like I never had before. I remember praying and saying out loud through tears as I awaited a medical procedure, "God, I trust you, my life is yours, whether you give me 5 more minutes, 5 more days, or 50 more years, I trust You." Lauren Daigle's song, "Rescue", had just come out, and my prayer continued with words from that song, "God, I need you to send out an army and find me and fight for me in the middle of my darkest night." Over the course of the next few hours, I knew that God was performing a miracle in me and was turning things around. I placed my trust in Him. I called on Him and he answered. He rescued me and has given me life!

Call, cry out to the Lord today and ask for His rescue. He promises to answer.
