My pastor had said, “I think God wants me to tell you something,” and then he followed up with that verse. I had no idea what it said until I got home and opened a Bible.
Jesus was talking about how we worry about what we’ll eat and wear. At the time, I was worried I would never get married and have a family. So when Jesus talked about worry, I understood.
His words are for you, too. He says you are valuable. Your heavenly Father knows your needs and He wants to meet them. He only asks one thing-
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)
So how do we “seek him first?” This Bible is a great start. When you read with an open heart, you are seeking Him! Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you, and maybe even begin with Matthew chapter 6. As you seek Him first, his promise is take care of all the rest.
