One Winter Night
What would it be like if you didn't have a place to sleep tonight? Or tomorrow night? Or the next night?
C-U at Home One Winter Night is a huge community awareness event that takes place in downtown Champaign, IL on Friday, February 2nd 2018.
You can join Station Manager, Jeff Scott and be apart of Camp WBGL by being a "box dweller." Being a box dwelling provides a glimpse of what it's like to not have a place to live during these cold winter months. Camp WBGL will join a community of over 200 friends for one bitter-cold night in February with only a cardboard refrigerator box for overnight accommodations.
And you'll be helping the ministry of C-U at Home build relationships and bring help and healing to our friends without an address. All year long C-U at Home leads our community efforts through The Phoenix Daytime Drop-In Center, Transitional Supportive Housing, their Transportation Ministry, Street Outreach, as well as Education and Advocacy.
"Recently, I have found myself on the 'bench' and not in the 'game' way too often. I feel like this is a chance to step up, step in, and step out. I know the need is real, but I feel after experiencing it first hand, I'll have a whole new appreciation for C-U at Home." -Station Manager, Jeff Scott
