Ben Burdick – World Gospel Church

One thing I really appreciate about Ben is his genuineness. He isn’t intimindating; it’s easy to sit down and talk with him as you would a friend. He doesn’t present himself as holier or more important. He is more understanding than judgmental, though he upholds biblical standards in his life, family, and our church. He is real; he is human, but he is also an effective shepherd. Ben is compassionate with those who are suffering, but he doesn’t sugarcoat sin. He is leading our church in strategic ways to become more grounded in God’s Word and accurate theology. These are of vital importance in a world that promotes self over God and not only dismisses Biblical teaching but is adamantly against it. Ben and our elders are working to unify our church body through intergenerational fellowship and classes. They are equipping parents to lead their children, rather than passing this task off to childrens or youth ministries. Growth isn’t always quick, and it isn’t a given. We need certain conditions to facilitate growth and forward movement. Ben is intentionally providing those opportunities. I am seeing the fruit of this in the lives of my own family members. I am grateful to have a humble, consistent man of God as our pastor.
