Pastor Brown is always willing to put himself out there and witness to others of what he is preaching and truly has a gift of bringing Gods word to life and helping us to connect to Gods word. His love and passion for Christ is beyond words. We invite you all to come to our church and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Brown also heads up many community programs and has helped organize many concerts. He wears many hats and very well loved. He also has fought cancer and won and uses that as well to witness of Gods great miracles in his life. He uses every given chance to Glorify God by living each day to its fullest. Its hard to type this cause there are so many things he is worthy of this honor. One can only come and witness our worship service on Sundays at 10 on Lerna rd in Mattoon, IL. He is also co head singer in our praise band in which we are very blessed to have. Some members are part of popular local group Feuding Hillbillies. We are a very strong non denominational Christian church and as pastor will say very transparent and try to teach and live by Gods word and worry not about what the world thinks. Come see for yourselves or watch him give a sermon as they are recorded live and on our facebook page at Family Worship Center of Mattoon which is now the main church of the one he started in Charleston which is still in service..

Last year was probably one of the toughest years I’ve been through in quite a while. In a four month time span, our beloved family dog passed away from cancer, my long-time job was eliminated and I was sent to a different division at the company, then my mother passed away suddenly, and I resigned at work. Life felt like it was spinning out of control and I could do nothing to stop it. However, through the grace of God, a lot of tears and questioning, plus a TON of prayer, I made it through the darkest moments. I am beyond grateful for WBGL and the consistent connection to prayer, worship music, and encouragement to find peace during the pain and confusion of life.
