Pastor Johnnie Wilson – Bible Based Community Church Centralia

I’d like to nominate my Pastor Johnnie Wilson for a lot of reasons. He brings God’s word every week. He makes sure he looks out for all his members. If you need help, he will be right there to help. Both him and his wife will be there to help anyone that needs it. He has helped me and my parents out several times. Once my electric went off and he helped me to get it back on, another time my parents needed a vehicle because a tree hit their’s and he found one for them. He always tells you how it is no matter if you want to hear it, and it is always something that you need to hear. He makes sure that you use your gifts that God has given you. Want to say thank you to my Pastor, and his wife. Like we say at church the base is the place.

Steve Linton – The Journey Church

We, as a congregation, want to recognize Pastor Steve Linton for his unwavering dedication and genuine love for all of us. What stands out the most about him is that he never sugar coats anything. He preaches with boldness, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide his words, and stays true to the Bible, even when the truth may be difficult to hear. His goal is always to save souls, not to spare feelings. Pastor Steve’s heart for people is immense. He loves and accepts everyone just as they are, without judgment. His kindness, generosity, and approachability make him truly unique. No matter what he’s doing, Pastor Steve is always willing to listen, even when he was ill, he remained available for his people. He would give the shirt off his back or his last dollar to help someone in need, showing the world what it means to love like Jesus. He is not just a smart and funny man; he is a sincere, God-fearing example of how Christians should live. His love for God shines through in every sermon, and his willingness to answer questions outside of Bible study speaks to his commitment to nurturing our faith. We are so thankful for his leadership and for his example of what it means to love like Christ.

Chris Tomlin

Christopher Dwayne Tomlin is a Grammy Award winning artist originally from Grand Saline, Texas. In 1999, Tomlin rose to recognition when joined on board as a worship leader for Atlanta pastor Louie Giglio’s annual Passion Conferences, along with other worship leaders such as Matt Redman, Charlie Hall, and eventually with Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill, and the David Crowder Band.

In 2008, after five solo album releases, and nine with Passion, Tomlin made the move from Texas to Atlanta to be a worship leader for Giglio’s new church, Passion City Church, with its first service being held in February of 2009. Tomlin has since released four solo worship albums, two Christmas albums, and one live album.

In 2013, Tomlin’s seventh album Burning Light debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart, becoming only the fourth album by a Christian artist to top that chart, along with Butterfly Kisses (Shades of Grace) by Bob Carlisle, You Light Up My Life by LeeAnn Rimes, both in 1997, and TobyMac’s Eye On It in 2012.

Tomlin has recorded some of the most famous songs ever in Christian music, such as How Great Is Our God, Holy Is The Lord, Our God, and Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies).
