‘Tis the season for a hearty bowl of chili or potato soup, prepared lovingly by those sweet ladies at Downs United Methodist Church. Downs UMC is located at 205 S Highway Ave, Downs, IL, across from Tri-Valley Middle School on US Route 150.
On Sunday, March 3, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, our doors and hearts will be open to all who have a hankering for a hot meal. Free-will donations will be accepted, with 100% going to our Good Samaritan Fund. (Our Good Sam Fund helps local folks out with rent, utility bills, and other needs.)
While you’re there, be sure to get a tour of our new building.
