Page 186: Naomi Raine: Maverick City Artist on Hearing God’s Voice

Naomi Raine has been singing about God since she was two and writing songs since she was seven. Her parents were worship leaders, so she literally grew up going to rehearsals and hearing powerful worship songs. Even before she was born, there was a word spoken over her parents that their children would bless the earth. That word, combined with a stirring in Naomi, gave her a sense that God was going to use her songs to reach the nations. But for many years her songs, just like her relationship with God, were being cultivated in the small, quiet places. Today, Naomi’s voice reaches the nations as part of Maverick City Music. Songs like “Jireh” and “Promises” have become anthems for worshipers around the world. Show Notes: Website: https://www.naomirainemusic.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/naomiraine/?hl=en

Page 249: John Wilson: From Addiction to a Marriage Restored

What do you do when your marriage feels impossible? When one person is chasing God and the other is chasing the party? John Wilson’s story is a powerful reminder that no marriage is beyond hope. From a childhood marked by abuse to a relationship built on partying, addiction, and conflict, John and his wife Beth once seemed worlds apart. Both were struggling with emptiness and destructive habits. Everything changed the night John encountered Jesus at a Christian concert, sparking a spiritual transformation that would eventually touch their marriage. Over time, both John and Beth surrendered to faith, learned to forgive each other, and rebuilt a marriage rooted in love, grace, and purpose. Today, John leads Light the Way Ministries, reaching hundreds of thousands through Christian music concerts and Missouri’s largest Christian music festival. He is the author of Honky Tonk Nights to Christian Lights.
