Lyrics

I’m wishing I could see the finish line
Where this ends, where it lands
Guess I lost my vision when the pain set in

Can I believe
When I don’t see
Can I really let it be
Out of my hands
When it’s out of my hands

This isn’t what I’d choose
But it’s where I’m finding you
When I’m broken and undone
Your mercy’s just begun
You overcome my doubt
Your hands are reaching out
You hold me through the storm
And I will fear no more

Can’t look into the future but
I know where you have been
Before me, after and always within

Can I believe
When I don’t see
Can I really let it be
Out of my hands
Cause it’s out of my hands

This isn’t what I’d choose
But it’s where I’m finding you
When I’m broken and undone
Your mercy’s just begun
You overcome my doubt
Your hands are reaching out
You hold me through the storm
And I will fear no more

I’m not giving up
I’m giving in
To what You’ve planned
For Your Glory

This isn’t what I’d choose
But it’s where I’m finding you
When I’m broken and undone
Your mercy’s just begun
You overcome my doubt
Your hands are reaching out
You hold me through the storm
And I will fear no more

About This Song

a few notes from Joe B., Music Director

"Don not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today...The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent." Exodus 14:13-14

“I wanted to write a song that spoke to the reality that many times, the things we wouldn’t ever choose actually lead us directly into the most beautiful, life altering moments where the reality of God’s presence is beyond a doubt. Whatever challenge you may be facing in this time, I hope 'Fear No More’ reminds you that God is with you in the trial, that while every great book has moments of doubt, the hero is always with us, and the final chapter is yet to be written.” - Jason Roy, Building 429 Lead Singer (CCM Magazine, April 2019)

There are circumstances in our lives that are beyond our ability to fight, physically. (Ephesians 6:12) And there are times when it really is out of our hands, and the battle is the Lord's. (2 Chronicles 20:15) Too often though, we lose sight of the battle being His and we begin to lean on our own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5-7) Unfortunately, this often leads to uncertainty and a feeling of being out of control which often will bring on anxiety, worry and fear. Many studies today reveal that our culture as a whole is struggling, at an all-time high, with these very things. Yet the Bible tells us over and over again to not be anxious, worrisome or fearful. I believe this song will become a fun anthem and provide hope for those currently walking through a season of anxiety, worry and/or fear and also provide a great opportunity to hide a very important truth in the hearts of those who aren't.
